Getting
Started

Your first steps in NukeRoleplay. Learn how to make money, get around, follow the rules and build a stable life in the city.

Welcome
to the city.

NukeRoleplay is a large roleplay environment with many interconnected systems. When you first join, it can feel like there is a lot to learn.

You do not need to understand everything immediately. Start with the basics, learn how to make money, get familiar with the city and gradually discover the more advanced systems.

Earn Money

Find a reliable source of income. A regular job is usually the best starting point.

Explore

Learn where important shops, transport stations and services are located.

Follow the Rules

Your actions have consequences. Breaking the law can result in police intervention.

Take Your Time

You do not need an expensive house or vehicle immediately. Build your life step by step.

Make
Money.

Money is one of the most important things to establish when starting out. Almost everything in the city costs money, from transportation and food to vehicles and eventually property.

The most reliable way to build an income is to find a job. Jobs provide a more consistent source of money and allow you to build up enough savings for the things you want later.

INCOME · 01

Get a Job

Find a job that suits you and start working. A consistent job should be your first major source of income.

INCOME · 02

Collect Junk

You can also make some quick money by picking up junk found around the world and selling it at Junk Shops.

Economy · Plan Ahead

Do not spend all of your money as soon as you earn it. Keep some savings for unexpected expenses and work towards establishing a stable income first.

For more information about the available jobs and how the job system works, see the Jobs documentation.

Get
Around.

You do not need a car to explore the world. The city has several forms of public transportation that make getting around affordable.

TRANSPORT · 01

Metro

A cheap way to travel through the city and reach different areas without owning a vehicle.

TRANSPORT · 02

Train

Useful for travelling longer distances and connecting different parts of the world.

TRANSPORT · 03

Bus

An inexpensive option for everyday transportation when you do not have your own vehicle.

TRANSPORT · 04

Tram

Another affordable way to move around populated areas of the city.

Public transportation is especially useful during your first few hours in the city. Save your money instead of rushing to buy a vehicle immediately.

Learn the
City.

There are many NPC-operated shops throughout the world where you can purchase everyday necessities.

When you first arrive, explore your surroundings and learn where the important shops and services are located. Knowing where to get basic supplies can make everyday life much easier.

NPC Shops

Purchase basic items and necessities from shops operated by NPCs.

Junk Shops

Sell collected junk to turn items found around the world into money.

Services

Learn where important public services and facilities are located.

Explore First

Your first days are a good time to learn the layout of the city before committing to expensive purchases.

Know the
Rules.

NukeRoleplay is a roleplay server, which means your actions are part of a shared world. Other players, businesses and authorities are affected by what you do.

Make sure you understand the server rules before getting involved in situations that could have consequences for you.

Police · Consequences

Breaking laws can lead to police intervention, including being arrested. Just because something is possible in the game does not mean it is without consequences.

01
Respect the roleplay environment Remember that other players are part of the same world.
02
Follow server rules Read the official rules and understand what is expected from players.
03
Think about consequences Criminal actions can attract attention from the police.
04
Ask when you are unsure It is better to ask other players or staff than to accidentally break a rule.

Don't Rush
Your Home.

Owning a house is an important milestone, but it is also expensive. Buying a property before you have a reliable income can leave you struggling to pay for other necessities.

Your first goal should be to establish a constant source of income. Once you have enough money coming in regularly, you can start thinking about vehicles and property.

First

Establish a reliable source of income and learn how the economy works.

Then

Build up savings and avoid spending everything on unnecessary purchases.

Later

Consider buying a vehicle or property once you can comfortably afford it.

Remember

Property is a long-term commitment. Make sure your finances can support it.

The Housing documentation contains more information about buying, renting, property taxes, permissions and building.

Meet the
Community.

NukeRoleplay is much more than a collection of systems. A large part of the experience comes from interacting with other players.

Talk to people, find players who share your interests and build relationships. You may eventually find yourself working together, joining an organization or simply making friends.

Work Together

Use Discord

The community Discord is a useful place to stay informed and communicate with other members.

Matters.

Your phone is one of the most useful tools available to you. It connects you to many systems and services throughout the city.

Take some time to explore its applications. Depending on your phone, you may have access to communication, real estate, jobs, transportation, entertainment and other important services.

Tip · Explore Your Apps

If you are unsure how to access a system, check your phone first. Many important features are available directly through its applications.
