Build the world
with us.
NukeRoleplay is built by a team of people with different skills, ideas and backgrounds. Whether you enjoy building, programming, creating, producing content or working with the community, there may be a place for you.
You do not need to be perfect. We are looking for people who are motivated, reliable and willing to learn and contribute to the project.
Choose a department below to learn more about the type of work involved. The application form will allow you to tell us more about your individual skills, experience and areas of expertise.
As a member of the Building & Decorating
department, you will help create the locations
that players actually experience in NukeRoleplay.
This includes streets, houses, businesses,
public buildings, interiors, industrial areas,
neighbourhoods and other environments that make
the world feel alive and believable.
Your work would involve taking concepts, references
or rough ideas and turning them into finished
environments inside the game. You may be asked to
build a completely new location, improve an
existing area or decorate an interior with props,
furniture and other details. Attention to scale,
composition, realism and performance is important,
as every location should not only look good but
also work well for gameplay and roleplay.
You should bring creativity, patience and a good
eye for detail. Previous building experience is
helpful, but motivation and the willingness to
learn are just as important. Being able to work
from references, accept feedback and make changes
based on the needs of the project is especially
valuable. If you enjoy creating environments and
seeing your work become part of a playable world,
this department could be a good fit for you.
The Development department is responsible for
turning ideas into functional systems that players
can use. Developers work behind the scenes to build
the technical foundation of NukeRoleplay, from
gameplay systems and interfaces to databases,
tools, scripts and other features required by the
project.
Depending on your area of expertise, you could work
on player systems, jobs, inventories, vehicles,
interactions, menus, administration tools,
permissions, economy systems or other gameplay
mechanics. You may also help fix bugs, improve
existing systems, optimise performance and connect
different parts of the project together.
We are looking for people who enjoy solving problems
and are comfortable working independently while
communicating with the rest of the team. Programming
experience is naturally important for this
department, but the exact requirements depend on the
role and technologies involved. Clean code,
reliability, logical thinking and the ability to
understand existing systems are highly valued.
You should also be willing to test your own work,
investigate problems and respond constructively to
feedback. If you enjoy programming and want to see
your systems used by real players, Development gives
you the opportunity to directly shape how
NukeRoleplay works.
The Creative & Roleplay department focuses on the
actual experience players have inside the world.
Members of this department develop ideas for
gameplay, roleplay situations, jobs, activities,
organisations, events, lore and other systems that
give players reasons to interact with the world.
You could be involved in designing new roleplay
opportunities, writing background stories,
developing factions, creating jobs, planning
activities or thinking about how different parts of
the world can work together. The goal is not simply
to create more content, but to create content that
makes sense, encourages interaction and gives
players meaningful things to do.
Creativity is important, but so is structure. Good
ideas need to fit the setting, technical
possibilities and overall direction of
NukeRoleplay. You should therefore be able to
explain your ideas clearly, listen to feedback and
improve concepts instead of becoming attached to a
first draft.
Previous roleplay or game-design experience is
helpful, but it is not the only thing we look for.
We value people who understand what makes roleplay
enjoyable, who think from a player's perspective
and who are willing to work together with other
departments to turn ideas into playable content.
The Media & Community department is responsible
for the public presence of NukeRoleplay and the
relationship between the project and its players.
Members help communicate what is happening within
the project and make sure the community stays
informed, active and engaged.
Depending on your strengths, you could create
announcements, social media posts, trailers,
screenshots, promotional graphics, videos or other
forms of content. You may also help prepare
community events, communicate development updates,
collect feedback from players or support the team
with public-facing communication.
Community work also means being approachable and
professional. You may interact directly with
players, answer questions, explain changes or help
direct people to the right information. A good
understanding of the project's tone and the ability
to communicate clearly are therefore important.
Depending on the position, useful skills can include
graphic design, video editing, photography,
writing, social media management or community
management. You do not need to be an expert in
everything. We are interested in people who have
something they are good at and want to use that
skill to help NukeRoleplay grow.
The Modelling & Texturing department creates the
custom assets that give NukeRoleplay its own visual
identity. Instead of relying entirely on existing
assets, members of this department can create
objects and visual elements specifically for the
project.
Depending on your skills, you could work on
buildings, furniture, props, vehicles, signs,
equipment, decorations or other objects that are
needed throughout the world. The process can include
creating a 3D model, preparing UVs, creating
textures and materials, optimising the asset and
finally preparing it for use inside the game.
We are looking for people with an interest in 3D
art, visual design and detail. Experience with tools
such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter
or similar software can be useful, depending on the
specific role. You should also understand that
game-ready assets are different from purely
high-quality renders: polygon count, texture sizes,
optimisation and correct implementation all matter.
An important part of the position is consistency.
Assets should fit the overall visual style of
NukeRoleplay rather than looking like isolated
pieces. Being able to work from references,
receive artistic feedback and make revisions is
therefore just as important as technical skill.
Whether you already have professional 3D experience
or are still developing your skills, we are
interested in seeing what you can create and how
motivated you are to improve.
